OUR LOCATION
For some we are far from city. For others we are close to nature. In fact we are the closest nature resort to Port Blair city. Our beautful village of Kadakachang is surrounded by pristine nature and scenic hamlets.
Kadakachang is a picturesque small village where our resort is located. This peaceful quite village has some lovely pathways for the visitors to explore on foot. The village of Kadakachang is connected to Bambooflat through a scenic drive across the nearby backwater and sea.
Bambooflat is an important junction and a ferry port that connects a large part of South Andaman to Port Blair city. Approximately 5 km from our resort this little seaside village is the heart-center of local villages and hamlets. Port Blair is just a ferry ride of 15mins from this place. A little apart, the jetty of Panighat (Hopetown) on the way to Mt. Harriet is also a beautiful spot that fascinates visitors. Bambooflat is popular among tourists visiting Ixzire for quick transport to Port Blair and for small grocery and shopping needs.
Approximately 12 km from our resort, Shoal Bay is a tiny hamlet in South Andaman district. It is home to diverse flora and fauna. A beautiful beach is located here that is also known as Shoal Bay Beach No 19. There are no houses or settlements adjacent to the this beach. This is a pristine beach that is famous for its clean water and seclusion as it is located far away from the noise of city life. This little gem is motorable from our resort and can be quickly visited in few hours. The area is also a treasuretrove for the birdwatchers.
The village of WrightMyo is on the way to Shoal Bay with a population of approximately 700 people. This small remote hamlet has a beautiful mangrove interpretation center, a forest watchtower to enjoy the breathtaking scenary next to the backwaters and a boatride facility.
The highest peak of South Andaman, Mt. Harriet (459m) and the third highest peak of Andaman after Saddle Peak (732m) and Mt. Thuller (568m) is located 10km from our property. The park encompasses an area of 4,662 hectares and rich in flora an fauna. Its a popular trekking destination. The area includes steep precipitous slopes and gentle slopes with undulating terrain. Some important peaks in the park are Mt. Carpenter (346m), Mt, Koyob (459m), Mt. Hext (425m), Mt. Harriet (422m), and Mt Goodridge (376m).
Many visiotrs go for the trek up to Madhuban, which is a natural and famous trek. It allows the trekkers to see a large number of birds, variegated animals, and butterflies. As the park homes several wild animals, this place is suitable for a wildlife tour.
